Barry
Loudermilk
has over 28 years experience in computer and
information systems networking industry.
Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration, a Minor in Computer
Information Systems, as well as an Associate
Degree in Telecommunications Technologies.
A
veteran of the United States Air Force,
Barry served the nation in military
intelligence and information technology
security. Before beginning
INSI
Barry was the Alaska Area Technical Business
Manager for Honeywell Federal Information
Systems, a Defense Department systems
integrator.
As a respected network systems
designer, Barry has designed and implemented
numerous industrial, commercial and
city-wide data network systems throughout
the Southeastern United States.
Today Barry also serves
in the Georgia State Legislature as a member
of the Georgia State Senate
where he is recognized as a leader in IT and
telecommunications issues. Barry serves as
Chairman of the Senate Science and
Technology Committee, Vice Chairman of the
Senate Veterans, Military & Homeland
Security Committee. He is also a member of
the Economic Development and Transportation
Committees.
Barry also serves on the
Telecommunications Sub Committee for the
Washington DC based American Legislative
Exchange Committee (ALEC).
In 2011,
Barry was appointed by the Lt. Governor as
Chairman of a special statewide commission
to develop a science and technology
strategic plan for the State of Georgia.
In 2008 James Magazine
recognized Barry as one of the 50 Most
Influential Georgians.
Barry
is a licensed private pilot and is an active
search and rescue volunteer with the Civil
Air Patrol.
